The 2012 Election

As far as the election, I'm leaning towards Gary Johnson. Romney has zero chance of winning California anyways. I'm tired of expressing my desires through the lesser of two evils. You still end up with evil in the end. It might be irrational because of the stupidity that is our first-past-the-post voting system, but I prefer to be irrational than throw my vote away on someone I don't believe in.

Pragmatism - action or policy dictated by consideration of the immediate practical consequences rather than by theory or dogma.

Idealist - a person who cherishes or pursues high or noble principles, purposes, goals, etc.

Both of these philosophies have their place in our lives, but I submit that on this particular issue, a vote for anyone other than Romney is a vote for Obama.

I also believe that you should not compromise your beliefs in order to be "practical".
